OptikaliLLusion Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 I'm trying to port forward a port to my computer. Go to the router CP, enter the port, enter the network IP to forward it to, and update. Network restarts, and my computer decides to suddenly change network IP from 10.0.1.4 to 10.0.1.2. How can I make it so that it uses 10.0.1.4 all the time? asus Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 ok.. go to start -- ctrl panl-- then from there go to my network connections.. or something like that then right click on Local A Connection.. and go to the prop.. then were it says properties.. click on that.. now you should see a list of things.. go down to the bottom of the list.. you should see Internet Protocol TCP/IP now click on it and hit properties.. now there should be to choices.. Obtain IP automatically and use the following IP address now it will ask you for you IP.. that would be your 10.10.1.4 so put it in.. it should automatically fill in the subnet mask.. now you just need to enter your default gateway.. "your router" then your dns which would be your "routers ip as well"
