OptikaliLLusion Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 well... the topic name speaks for itself. How do I change the fan speed? It is running at (I think) around 2500RPM.
fire_storm Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 2500rpm is the max rpm of that fan. I don think you can rase the rpm any more.
hardnrg Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 change it how? down? get a fan controller or make your own fan control Simple Fan Speed Control you can't increase the fan speed... you can replace the fan with a higher airflow fan like a Tt Smart Fan II or a Vantec Tornado 80mm i've got a Tt Ducting Mod and a Tt SmartFan II @ 3792rpm and have a load temp of 44*C on my xp2500 @ 2.112 GHz, 1.775v lapping my SilentBoost and swapping the "silent" fan for a duct and a better fan dropped my temps from like 56*C to 44*C load
fire_storm Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Also that fan is ment to go at a low rpm to be very silent.
OptikaliLLusion Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 I see.... well, it still cools at a good temperature while running FAH full throttle (MBM shows two different CPU temps, they are always different by 5-6 degrees). Thanks.
