mikeock Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 i would guess that the washers go on the inside of the case and they are used to keep the case from flexing when picking up via the handle... Adds support
Bosco Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 That would be my guess too. I installed a case handle a while back and I had to put some washers under it, so it wouldn't wobble <_>

d3bruts1d Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 If you look at this image It looks as if the washers are on the outside, between the rivit head and the handle. I've emailed Bill Owen to see what he says to do with them. When I find out something, I'll update the review. As I posted this, I recieved an email form Scott @ EliteGuild.com, he had the following idea about the washers and sounds good to me. My guess is that if you put the washers on the inside it would disperse the weight from the rivets, and help keep the handle from
d3bruts1d Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Got an email back from Bill Owen from MNPCTech, he said that the washers go betwen the handle, and whatever fastener was ordered... in this case the rivits. Just as pictured above.
Bosco Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 I bet it wouldn't hurt, to install some under the bottom on the inside
d3bruts1d Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Ya, in my talks with Scott he threw out the idea of using some on the inside and outside as well.. my next set of handles, I'm probably goindg to do exactly that. Just have to remember that I have washers to use next time.
Psywar Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 d00d take it from me.. U want to put washers under the bottom of the case.. u want to use decently thick ones to.. and semi large.. because they give you enough surface area so the case will not buldge upwords when u pick it up.. my first lanbox had handles.. and i dident use washers.. bent the metal up.. the screw came out of the hole.. and down went the box.. lol.. Psywar Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 actually taking a second look at the guide.. the surface area of that case handle being so large.. I can see how it wouldent buldge up.. so prolly do not need washers for it.. thought I would still put the small ones underneeth.. thats just my opinion though..
