G.SKILL Trident Z5 and Z690 Aorus

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!
I have a system with two G.SKILL Trident Z5 6000 (CL36-36-36-76 1.30V) modules (F5-6000U3636E16GX2-TZ5K). I also have a Z690 Aorus Ultra that includes the following Memory Part No. in the Memory Support List: F5-6000U3636E16GX2-TZ5RK (Which is similar but not identical). The BIOS version is F5 (but I also tried with F6a version). The memory part is not included in Intel certification program list for XMP 3.0. CPU Intel 12700KF.
The thing is that when I activate the XMP profile in the BIOS, Windows starts crashing when playing or just doing web browsing. I checked the profile, and it matches the memory specifications (CL36-36-36-76 1.30V). I contacted Gigabyte and they said that it has nothing to do with them because both the motherboard and RAM were certified for 6000MHz speeds. That it was an issue with the processor that is not certified for those speeds.
Do you think this can be solved by Intel or Gigabyte in some way? Or am I just out of luck with this system? Can I learn to manually overclock to try to reach lower speeds or it is pointless?
Thanks.
