This year's Devolver Direct stream was today and, as one should expect from Devolver Digital, it was unusual, but also filled with plenty of announcements, including various release dates, and the gameplay reveal for Shadow Warrior 3. Though it will not be released until next year, with this you can get a look at how Lo Wang will be killing and butchering the various demons he encounters while trying to save the world from the latest apocalypse. Swords, guns, traps, magic, and the new grappling hook will all help you cover the environment with demon blood recently removed from its owner.

Launching a bit sooner, in Fall 2020, is Olija that presents you with one weapon, a legendary harpoon. Shipwrecked in Terraphage, a mysterious country, you and your fellow castaways will have to fight to leave the country in this action-adventure title releasing for PC and Nintendo Switch. Here is its gameplay trailer and there should be a playable demo on Steam soon, but it does not appear to be listed yet.

Fall Guys has had its release date revealed, along with the news that Fall Guys are apparently cannibals when left alone. Fortunately they will never be left alone in the game as dozens of players will be trying to succeed the current challenge and claim victory. The greatest obstacle might not be the other players though, but the laws of physics. It will be releasing on August 4 and if you pre-order on Steam you will get an exclusive outfit, which you can see at the end of this new trailer.

Another game to get its release date announced was Carrion, a reverse-horror game where players will take control of the monster as it tries to escape from it prison and gain new abilities. Perhaps just as importantly, it also seeks to feed on those that had kept it captive until now. You will get to help Red the monster on July 23 on PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Serious Sam 4's release date was already shared a few months ago, so instead we have been given a new gameplay trailer, featuring not only the new weapons you will have at your disposal, but also the enemies to dispose of. An appropriate combination of information, I think. The game will be releasing on PC and on Google Stadia in August.

I do not recall either Blightbound or Weird West being shown during the showcase, but as a quick reminder, Blightbound is coming to Steam Early Access on July 29 and Weird West is launching in 2021. Both have had developer walkthroughs shared recently, so here those are:

The end of the Devolver Direct was the announcement of the free of the currently available first-person "marketing simulator" Devolverland Expo. You want to see trailers, gameplay demos, and more information lost by the Expo being closed? Download on Steam and do your best to sneak past the security systems. Developed by Flying Wild Hog, the same studio creating Shadow Warrior 3, here is its trailer and the screenshots are embedded too.

YouTube says there are 35 minutes to go but I am uploading a playthrough and a half (game crashed half-way through the first attempt) of Devolverland Expo. Once it finishes uploading, you should be able to watch me stumble through it.
