During Computex 2019, Noctua finally announced its plans to update the famous D series of CPU coolers with a brand new design that is sure to improve temps for gamers and power users. The all-new coolers improve performance by adding in an extra heat pipe and utilize an asymmetrical design for improved PCIe slot clearance for larger GPUs. Love it or hate it, Noctua's highly unique beige and brown color scheme will return. The all-new D series coolers are now designed to dissipate up to 400 watts of heat, which is right in line with AMD's TR4 and SP3 cooling needs. Noctua is planning on releasing two versions of the new D series coolers, one with a single fan and one with a dual fan option. The new coolers will include a traditional multi-socket mounting kit, which will support AM4, LGA20xx, and LGA115x, as well as a dedicated TR4 model for AMD's Threadripper processors. As a bonus, the new coolers will include a tube of NT-H2 thermal compound.

Noctua has yet to announce an official release date, but we expect the all-new coolers will be available by the end of the year, with pricing to be in line with the current NH-D15 and NH-D15S models.
