Guest_Jim_* Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Targeting PC enthusiasts, Corsair has launched a new series of DDR4 memory modules, Dominator Platinum RGB. Each module features hand-sorted memory chips, an updated aluminum heatspreader, and individually addressable RGB lighting. Thanks to that hand sorting, the kits are available in speeds from 3000 MHz up to 4800 MHz, with room for overclocking even. With the aluminum heatspreader using Corsair's Dual-Path DHX cooling and copper planes in the 10-layer PCB, the memory will stay cool even under extreme stress. Along the top of the modules, in the die-case zinc-alloy bar, are 12 ultra-bright CAPELLIX RGB LEDs, which should shine brighter, last longer, and be more energy efficient than conventional LEDs. You will be able to control the lighting of the modules use Corsair iCUE software, which will also allow you to synchronize the lighting with other iCUE-compatible devices as well as monitor the temperature and frequency of the memory in real-time. Dominator Platinum RGB memory is available immediately from Corsair's network of authorized retailers and its own webstore. The kits are available with two, four, or eight modules with the 4800 MHz 2 x 8 GB kit being the fastest air-cooled production memory kit today. Corsair was able to achieve this speed on the ASUS Z390 Maximus XI GENE and Maximus XI Apex motherboards with an Intel Core i5 8600K.
