Wreckfest Nominated at DICE Awards and Warhorse Studios Being Purchased

Have a couple pieces of THQ Nordic related news, starting with Wreckfest, a destructive racing game that has now been nominated for the 2019 D.I.C.E. Award for the Racing Game of the Year category. Such awards are among the most important honors in the video game industry. Wreckfest was developed by Bugbear Entertainment, a Finnish company and is one of three nominees for this category. The game launched in Summer 2018 for PC with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions to release later this year.

The other piece of THQ Nordic news is that Koch Media, a wholly owned subsidiary of THQ Nordic AB (and sister-company to THQ Nordic GmbH, the game publisher), has entered into an agreement to purchase Warhorse Studios. This is the studio behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance and is based in Prague. Deep Silver, which is owned by Koch Media, handling the publishing of the game for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and for the physical PC versions.
