CheeseMan42 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 A former Taiwan Semiconductor (TSMC) engineer referred to as Hsu has been "accused of stealing proprietary information and other materials related to the foundry's 28nm process technology and passing them to China-based Shanghai Huali Microelectronics (HLMC)." The technology in question is believed to be designs for NVIDIA and AMD chips, as the 28nm process is used for GPUs of the two companies. Hsu was on his way to a new job with HLMC but was arrested before he could make it to China.
