CheeseMan42 Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Microsoft has been running a public preview program for Office 2016 since early May and the software suite now has a release date, September 22. The release date was gathered from a leaked internal document obtained by WinFuture.de, though the memo doesn't make any mention regarding price. The full content of the memo states "On September 22, 2015, we’ll release Office 2016 – with updates for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Skype for Business, Project, Visio, Access, and Publisher. The innovation wave continues in Q2 with the release of E5 and Skype for Business, and on-premise servers will follow. This is the central hub for all Office 2016 Commercial readiness, training, and marketing materials. Mark this page and check back frequently, as we will be releasing new materials, weekly, to support the launch." DanTheGamer11 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 It's a shame it has smooth scroll(with no option to turn off), that's pretty much the only thing that irritates me in the preview version. That and having to restart Word after a cold boot/restart to see all the default templates.
