Patriot, a manufacturer of enthusiast memory modules, flash memory, and mobile accessory products, has officially announced that it is actively developing a new Type-C USB flash drive. The storage device, which comes equipped with a polished metal exterior, offers consumers with true compatibility as it features a small Type-C port on one side and a standard USB 3.0 connector on the other. The unique design of the drive allows owners of some of the latest devices that make use of the Type-C port, such as the new MacBook and Google Chromebook Pixel, to store their data on a portable device. Meng J. Choo, the Product Manager at Patriot, noted that "As a leading manufacturer of USB and flash memory, we want to offer solutions for our customers that are easy-to-use and provide seamless experiences across all their devices."

The new Type-C USB flash drive will be offered in both 32GB and 64GB capacities and should be available to purchase sometime in June, 2015.
