Motherboard's bios may actually prevent you from overclocking, unless you do a runtime overclock. Goal determines whether or not you have realistic expectations, and allows us to suggest what you need to reach those expectations. There are many overclocking guides out there. The procedure is essentially the same for most, with the difference being numbers and bios options. Rule of thumb: small, incremental changes and periodically test for stability. kyfire Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 +1 on the above replies. The FX 6300 will overclock nicely, but you gotta keep it cool.
