Overclock problem

Hi I'm having a problem with my rig....OK..I'll tell you what happened.

I was on my PC then I clicked rate PC in My Computer's properties...then it was doing its stuff then the computer rebooted itself..(note it was at 4.2ghz unstable) and so it unclocked itself back to 3ghz then it wouldn't save my oc'd settings so i reset it to optimized defaults..so when I when I went into bios it was clocked @ 900mhz...so I put it back to 3ghz and it worked but when I overclock it..it won't maintain my settings...any ideas? i only got to mess with for 5min cause I had to study...what should I do?

 

note that I have disabled stuff like thermal enhancement etc.

update: seem to have sorted the problem...unplug, pwr on, plug back in..4Ghz
