I have a Gigabyte 3D Aurora Full Tower Case, with a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H mainboard and a AMD Phenom2 X6 1075 CPU. O/S is Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Ram Kingston DDR3 (DDR3 - 1333) 667 4 sicks of 1GB size.Video is ATI Radeon HD4290 Direct X11. Audio is onboard Realtek. North bridge AMD 890GX Rev.00 \ South bridge AMD SB850 Rev. 40

I would like to know if anyone has successfully installed a Corsair A70 CPU cooler facing the back of the case on one of these mainboard's.

Yes. that should work just fine. With the 2 fans in the rear I would actually go with an H100 as you have the fan slots to do so. And I would add a blow hole to the top of the case for some added vent out.

Yes it all worked out well with 2 exceptions 1 is that the AMD bracket makes it hard to put on one of the cooler fans and 2 is that with the AMD socket design the fan moves the air from bottom to top or vise versa rather than front to back.
