Boinker Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Guy I figured sense I was modding fans tonight in a very popular case I would share. Replacing the Front HAF932, Advanced, Black edition, Nvidia edition, and Haf-X Installing a Sliverstone AP181 Fan in the Front of the haf. This is a very easy mod. All you will need is the Fan, a drill, 1/8 inch drill bit, and a couple of case fan screws. The 180mm Silverstone AP181. Link. This fan does 130CFM @ 1200rpm with good air direction and static pressure. It comes with brothers too. One 150Cfm @ 1300RPM And one blue LED lit 100Cfm @ 700rpm. I know its an expensive fan but it provides much better push through the Hard drive bays to get to the Video cards and the rest of the system. I noticed a Drop of 9c compaired to the existing fan while under gaming load. Here is what you do to get it in there. Drill on the red dots. And trust me it takes a steady had as the holes need to be butted up against the fan dimple as closer as possible. And in the end install should look like this. And also If it helps you can do the same mod to the fan to place it in the top and the side of the case. Just bare in mind they are a tad louder then the CM variant of fan.
