They are decent fans so I doubt you'd have any problems.

 

yea they look really sweet. you can use any good case fan on a heatsink right? doesnt matter if its a "case" fan does it? will these fans cool just as good or better than the CM 212+?

As long as the fan isn't junk there's no real difference. High static pressure is nice for heatsinks with dense fins and you can always use a fan controller on loud fans to keep them quiet.

I've used all three.

 

Ranked from best to worst:

Noctua NH-D14

Prolimatech Megahalems Rev. B

CM Hyper 212+

 

The Megahalems and Hyper 212+ can really shine if you put Noctua NF-D12 fans on them. They will perform just slightly below the Noctua NH-D14. The fans and a push/pull config matters quite a bit.

 

 

Its been benchmarked that the Megahalems outperomrs (cools better) than the Noctua NH-D14 when using the SAME FANS in a push/pull config at both IDLE and LOAD.
