Replacement for cooler master aquagate S1 that fits back bracket?

I have an aquagate s1, the fan died and it needs refilling.

It doesn't look like the radiator was designed to make replacing the fan easy, plus it may the the speed controller. Rather than mess with that, since I cannot get another S1, is there some cooling device that I can adapt to the already installed S1 backplate, so I don't have to take the motherboard out of the computer?

Air or water is ok. I was looking at the Corsair H70 water cooling system or the Noctua NH-D14 air cooling system, ZALMAN CNPS9700 , Cooler master hyper 212, that sort of thing. If any of them could be installed on the same back-bracket as the S1 that would be clincher.

On the other hand, is it worth figuring out how to replace the fan on the S1?

I have a high ambient temperature in the summer, I am not overclocking the 3Ghz E6850 for that reason.

Thanks.

You know I really have my Doubts. I would have to have a couple of heatsinks laying around and the S1 waterblock and backplate in front of me to really know if it would work. Given the S1 is an Older item then it may not have Anything at all in common with newer coolers. I could make a list of things that could or would be different but I shall spare you the read.

Best case scenario is to replace the S1 with an Air cooled or water cooling kit. I hate to say it but you should use the backplate that comes with the new cooler as it will be designed for the cooler you are installing.

Coolers I recommend. Zalman CNPS9700, Corsair H50 or H70, Noctua Just about all of them, Scythe makes good low profile Heatsinks if its for an HTPC, Coolermaster and thermalright.

But if you are looking for more performance then that you can go with a custom water cooling kit. I think that will run you around 300 or more depending on what you want it capable of doing.
