nns Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I am looking to install the GRUB from Fedora 14 KDE Live on a USB Stick so that when I boot with the USB stick, I get it to display the GRUB boot options and otherwise Windows is loaded. Fedora is installed on a separate HDD from my Windows 7 installation. I did Google quite a bit but I couldn't understand much coz I am new to Linux and so I am looking for simplified instructions, if possible. O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 If you want to install a Linux distribution on a usb flash drive, try "UNetBootin." The GUI is very user friendly. UNetbootin
CheeseMan42 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Why not just load GRUB onto the hard drive? Or are you not installing Linux on the drive as well? If you are dual booting from the hard drive, GRUB will be installed automatically if you install Linux second.
