Bullet90 Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Hello All. I have a 1.35V 35W XP-M 2400+ I just installed in my desktop to overclock. I have a nForce2 MB so multipliers, FSB and voltages are fully adjustable. The problem is when I set up the BIOS to a default 133MHz X 13.5 @ 1.4V, The CPU returns to a 6.0X Multiplier in Windows. Is this thing trying to throttle on a desktop board? I can't find in the Phoenix Award 6.00PG BIOS an option to disable throttling. Is there a BIOS update for this board? It is a Chaintech 7NJL1 but there is no longer support for it. I can OC my XP-2500+ with no problems. What can I do about this 6x Multiplier? Thanks..... PingoPongo Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 See if there's a thing called AMD Cool 'n' Quiet in the BIOS. If it's there then disable it.
