nyuu Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Well this build was going to be just an htpc system but I liked it so much I ended up using it as an everyday. sorry for the bad pics. motherboard asus m4875td v evo power supply corsair 650W modular video card sapphire 5770 1gb R.3 (Interesting note the OCC award it was given is featured on the back of the box) my little rana that could x3 amd processor and my 8 gigs of gskill ripjaws only one set pictured front of case nmedia 8000 wooden htcp case top of case inside first "layer" the first ide drive was going to be a sata, but I was in a hurry and bought the wrong one the second is a old one I had inside second "layer" clearly in need of a dusting the fan on the front doesn't work very well and was removed like I said this was going to be an htpc system with on-board gpu but I grew attached and it is now an every day use as well as a gaming rig. I was going to swap the AMD athlon x3 out but it never seemed to need to be replaced, the ripjaws were leftover parts from an upgrade. the only problem I am having is heat it only has 1 fan at the back(currently set to blow air out) its 140mm and is starting to break down because its a stock nmedia fan so if any one could tell me a good 140mm fan I would appreciate it and I dont care about noise as long as it keeps the case cool. the factory says it can also take 2 90mm (or was it 92mm) fans in front so another suggestion on that would be nice aswell. temps at idle are around 36c on the cpu and 37c on the 5770 Im looking into after market to keep the cpu cool but it needs to be low profile as the hard drive tray is above the cpu cooler,I also read the 5770 is compatible with a 4770 after market cooler but am not sure I will post some load temps later when I have the chance. this was my first build and went off with out a hitch sorry again for the bad pics and thread structure.
