overclocking a cpu is pretty easy, you just have to access your bios and increase your host clock frequency ( to overclock the cpu ). also you must know this formula : cpu speed = host clock frequency x core multiplier.

e.g. my cpu speed is 3.52 Ghz and therefore 22 ( core multiplier ) x 0.16 Ghz ( host clock frequency ). but you have to be aware of the dangers of overclocking like reducing a lifespan of a component. dont increase the host frequency a lot since this will result in overheating of cpu. you've got a decent cooler but really you should get a better one like Noctua DH14 or Corsair H50.

hope i helped you out there.

first of all Welcome To OCC senormojo....we're glad you came to join us !!

secondly, if you read these two guides thru you will have greater appreciation and success with overclocking your machine graysky's and verran's guides to overclocking....chances are good that you can cause yourself alot of unnecessary trouble expense if you go at this without understanding the process.... :whistling:
