Best Socket 939 Heatsink?

Can't really vouch for the S983 but I've been using it's "bigger brother" the S1283 to keep my Athlon 4000+ cool for over a year now.

 

OC'ed to 2.8GHz, it idles around 35~37.C and I haven't seen it hit more than 57.c under several hours at full load.

 

I'd imagine temps would be a bit higher with a 92mm fan, but if you're only running it at the stock clocks it should do very nicely
