johnnyfive Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Hey guys, I think this is the best place for this post so here it goes. I recently watercooled my CPU with the help of parts from Nuclear and have now caught the bug. It seems I am now compelled to watercool my GPU, but want to do it for the best cost I can. Below are a list of the parts I have assembled for my GPU only loop. I intend to install the Rad on the back of my HAF 932 case, as there is not much room left for a triple inside. I am not dead set on these parts. What I would love from you guys is help in one of three ways: 1) Finding a better price for these components. 2) Finding comparible components for less. 3) Informing me of better components, even if they cost a bit more. RAD: XSPC RX360 $100.57 with barbs Pump: Swiftech MCP 355 $64.99 Res: XSPC Res $44.45 with fittings Block: Heatkiller GPU-x2 for gtx 295 $168.95 with barbs Fans: Scythe S-Flex G 3 X $14.99 Radbox: Radbox $14.95 Tubing $15.00 for 6 ft Antikinking $7.98 for 6 ft Clamps $10.00 for 10 I tallied all this up with tax and shipping for $512.25. I would love to make this lower! Right now I have my i7 920 cooled with basically the above parts. If you think I am better off adding to my existing loop the above rad and the block, that certainly would be cheaper! Any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciated! DLS2008 Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Why not just ditch the resevoir and use a t-line? It would save you like $40 right there. You'd need another foot or two of tube, a t-fitting, and 3 more clamps.
johnnyfive Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 That is a good point, and something I will consider. Thanks!
