Overclocking a DFI Lanparty NF4?

Recommended Posts

So, in asking for advice on my potential rig, I was told that my current mobo is actually good for overclocking? The last time we tried, it...didn't work out so well, but I'm willing to test again, if anyone's willing to advise. I'll be honest, I've never done it on my own, and I'm really not too keen on badgering my father about it. He's tech-savvy, but really particular in when and how he's willing to give help.

I'm, er, not sure what information is needed, so ask away. Or advise away. Or... you know, whatever happens next. Ahem.

Thanks. :)

The best DFI NF4 overclocking guide (from DFI-Street) is now available RIGHT HERE at OCC!

This guide, especially the memory section, allowed me consistently high overclocks on several CPUs which shows my overclocks were not flukes, the board is just THAT good... my favourite overclocking board ever :)

3500 Venice (2.2) @ 10x292 = 2920; 2x512MB GSkill LE @ 292, 2.5-4-3-7-1T

146 Opteron (2.0) @ 10x307 = 3070; 2x512MB GSkill LE @ 307, 2.5-4-4-8-1T

146 Opteron (2.0) @ 10x306 = 3060; 2x512MB GSkill LE @ 306, 2.5-4-4-8-1T

148 Opteron (2.2) @ 10x305 = 3050; 2x512MB GSkill LE @ 305, 2.5-4-4-8-1T

170 Opteron (2.0) @ 9x315 = 2835; 2x1GB GSkill HZ @ 258, 3-4-3-8-1T

Read the guide in entirety, and I highly recommend printing out at least the WHOLE memory section, if not the whole guide, for reference whilst in the BIOS :)
