sphinx64 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Hi I bought a new CPU cooler (ThermoLab Baram) and I intend to use it with two PWM fans. Fans are, Cooljag Everflow (FrozenCPU) 120mm x 25mm 9-Blade PWM Fan, Operating Voltage Range: 7 ~ 13.2V, Rated Current: 0.40 Amp, Rated Input Power: 4.80W, Rated Speed: 2400 RPM, Max. Airflow: 110.03 CFM. I wonder if it will be possible to connect these two fans to the MB CPU fan connector to use the Q-Fan in an ASUS MB (does the MB support it; if the Q-Fan can adjust speeds of two fans at the same time?), by using a Y-split 4 pin PWM connector (Frozen CPU)? These fans will be drawing 2X4.8W. In our manual it was stated that individual fan connectors support up to 24W max, with total MB max of 84W. No other fans are connected to the MB, but the power fan. Can anyone with technical expertise, confirm that it will be safe to use two fans connected to CPU fan connector (e.g. XBit Labs or HardwareBistro)? Thanks for your help. Zertz Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 If board says it supports 24W per header, then there's no problem in using that Y-splitter
