Desktop-pro Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I built my co-worker a computer about 2 months ago and have come across a bug. The computer runs perfect except that when he goes to play a game about 30 minutes into it it will give him the blue screen of death and restart or it will just freeze and you are forced to close it. Then it will say the display driver stopped responding or something along those lines. Sounds like a driver issue right? Will i updated the video, sound, and chipset drivers and no luck. I also double and triple checked the bios to make sure i didnt have something enabled that shouldn't have been and it all checked out. I figured it's got to be a problem with vista 64bit and the display driver but i am not sure. I am stumped. I don't know what to do. Any ideas are welcome. Specs below. HD: WD SE16 640gb Mem: Patroit viper 4gb ddr 2 1066 CPU: Amd phenom II x3 720 Mother: Foxconn a7gm-s 2.0 Video: MSI R4830 512mb OS: Vista 64bit P.S The games he is trying to play are Bioshock and Rainbow six vegas 2. Thanks for the help

Bosco Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Do a driver clean on the ATI drivers and download the newest ones and give it a shot again.
