If by 'future' you mean the next 1-2-3 years, then yes, the games will still support 1024x768 resolution.

After 10 years? I doubt that anyone knows what will happen with the games in the next 10 years. Maybe the current texture rendering will be replaced by another resolution-independent rendering technique (such as ray tracing) and the users will be able to play at any resolution they want.
