Odio Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) You should be fine changing the multiplier without increasing the voltage. Just run Orthos when you go to bed tonight. If it's still running when you wake up in the morning then everything is OK. Edited November 27, 2008 by Odio
abid Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 whats an ORTHOS?
Odio Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Actually, that's and older version that only stresses two cores. Use the updated Prime95 instead. Sorry. Prime95 and Orthos are applications used to stress your computer to its limit to determine whether or not your system is stable. If it can run for 9 hours without any errors then your computer is tip top. If it cannot run for 9 hours, it could be due to excess heat from poor cooling, bad bios settings, or faulty hardware.
