Wierd Q6600

um my q6600 multiplier is X8.... if i want to change to X9... its normal multiplier... should i change the voltage or whatever?

You should be fine changing the multiplier without increasing the voltage. Just run Orthos when you go to bed tonight. If it's still running when you wake up in the morning then everything is OK.

Actually, that's and older version that only stresses two cores. Use the updated Prime95 instead. Sorry.

 

Prime95 and Orthos are applications used to stress your computer to its limit to determine whether or not your system is stable. If it can run for 9 hours without any errors then your computer is tip top. If it cannot run for 9 hours, it could be due to excess heat from poor cooling, bad bios settings, or faulty hardware.
