DLS2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Well, my specs for new rig are in my sig. I've got it to 375 FSB on Auto voltage settings, but I can't get to 400 FSB. Does anyone have some starting points? Help specific to the DQ6 would be great. I've seen people pusing 4.0 GHz with them, but I can barely get to 3.0, lol. I'm going to reset everything to stock and try again. I had OC'd my 4870 a little using RIva Tuner, but I've been getting black screens, which I assume are an overheating issue. DLS2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 I have it running Prime 95 right now at 371.5 x 8 (2.972 GHz). The CPU Voltage is at 1.136 and it seems to be holding. I've left the CPU Voltage and all the other voltage setting to Auto so that the motherboard will take care of them for me. Actually, I just got an error on Prime 95 after 3 minutes. I use Gigabyte's Dynamic Energy Saver and it controls my voltages depending on clock speed. Cores 1 and 4 seem to keep getting errors after about 10 minutes or less. I'm now going to run Prime 95 with the voltage at 1.328 and Dynamic Energy Saver disabled. I'll see how that turns out. It's still at 2.972 GHz. ccokeman Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 The starting point with no additional volts is 1.25v on the NB if memory serves me right. ccokeman Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 To get to 475 FSB I run +.450 and on the daily 450FSB OC I run +.425 24/7. Just keep some air flowing past it and you should be good. Its been about 8 months worth of daily abuse and I have no issues what so ever. I only back it down when running stock because it is not needed. DLS2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I seem to keep getting an error during Prime 95 on Core #2. I'm at 458x8 with 1.325 VCore, +0.350 MCH and +.25 FSB. What do I need to tweak to get it up here stable? EDIT: Just got the dreaded BSOD followed by auto-reboot. Hmm... I was running Prime 95 and Furmark at the same time, I'm at a loss. Also, most of the time when I change mobo settings, the Intel Matrix Storage Utility says it's verifying and repairing my arrays.
