Torner Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 so uhm...I found 2 possible sets that I like, an amd set up, and an intel set up. the Intel one of course being more expensive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103191 with the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131593 or the http://www.newegg.com/product/Produc...82E16819115028 with the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136035 and the ram i picked i think is compatible with both sets. so...the catch on the amd is only 1mb per core, and the Intel is 2mb per core, but the amd is 3.2 ghz where as the Intel is only 3.0 ghz...so which way do I go? and while I'm on the topic of upgrading is till dont fully unstand if i could put say a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150173 320 mb 8800 gts sli'd with a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150215 640 mb 8800 gts or would they both have to match? Sharp Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Your links are not working. For SLi you should match for the best possible performance however nvidia claim it can be done using coolbits. http://www.slizone.com/page/slizone_faq.html#c10
