Guest ElAguila Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I was on svc.com they have an ultra 120 extreme that has been hand lapped. They are selling it for $99. You can get a regular 120 extreme for about $56. I was wondering if the lapped version is worth the extra money. I have heard that some of the 120 extremes were not as flat as the other heatsinks from thermalright have been.
Guest navinjohnson Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 It's worth it if you don't have three hours and a flat surface to lap it yourself. All Thermalrights have nickel plating that takes forever to lap through before you get to copper.
