Good Temp Monitor?

Recommended Posts

Is there something better then this smartguardian? I changed my chipset to the Evercool recommended here with AS5 and on SG they havent dropped, plus my CPU temps fluctuate way too much. I know Speedfan doesnt work...anyone else?

no program i have ever found to not crash the pc is the new Everest and core temp. MBM will crash your pc

Hmmm...It has never crashed any of my single or dual core system builds.

Are you certain that your system is prime stable?

I am not trying to hijack the thread. I am just curious as MBM seems to work well for most of us.

:)

my sys is primestable (see ocdb links in my sig) but mbm, speedfan and sisoft sandra are crashing if they want to acces certain mainboard information.

the rdx200 seems to be kind of a prototype board, not ment for mass production.

It's not a motherboard problem. As for as I know, the MBM configuration files are not compatible with the RDX200. Speedfan and Sandra will work if you prevent either program from scanning the SMBus.

I am a lifelong student...and always amenable to reasonable and logical information... SMB bus scanning problems I had heard about before, but not about MBM scanning SMB causing crashes... So, now I know

yeah Smart Fan and Motherboard monitor crash my PC. I forgot to mention that, but Imma try Everest and Core Temp. Thank you very much guys. Im currently at work, but will try after Im done.

Yes the rdx200 is in its own, could have been such a great board if it wasnt for the quirks (Plextor px716a, no SATA2, USB freeze). On USB Freeze tho, its only on certain USB ports...lol. Good overclocker tho.

Hows setting up Crossfire on this board? I am looking into a x1800xt mastercard (good price). Can you flash the Mastercard? I doubt it, but worth asking, cause my x1800xt is being flashed to a p.e. soon here. Ill just have to ramp the clocks up in ATI Tool, can you up the voltage on a mastercard atleast?

Guest MadDias

no need to flash the videocard bios...

just clock them with atitool to whatever u want.

yes, u can control the voltages on the mastercard just like on the regular x1800xt´s.
