A company I used to work for had a website at www.heimed.com The internet service provider that registered the address become bankrupted, and is no longer active. Before closing down it transferred them to another company called ANET. Now their webiste is not functioning. They want to prolong their domain name registration but the Anet is saying they cannot do it. That the name registration already expired in November. I find it a little strange because of the info I got from http://www.domainregister.com/cgi-bin/cdpro4.pl It gives the following: Domain Name: HEIMED.COM Registrar: TLDS, LLC DBA SRSPLUS Whois Server: whois.srsplus.com Referral URL: http://www.srsplus.com Name Server: NS2.ANET.NET.TR Name Server: NS1.ANET.NET.TR Status: REGISTRAR-HOLD EPP Status: clientHold Updated Date: 09-Nov-2006 Creation Date: 04-Nov-2004 Expiration Date: 04-Nov-2007 I am not expert at these things, but for me it seems like Anet itself reregistered the name? Why are they saying they cannot register it? Can somebody explain me what the Registrar-hold and clientHold means? Thanks a lot. I just transferred a domain name myself and the EPP is a code that is needed to release the domain name from one host or domain name holder to another. Usually the status will show up as either locked or unlocked. Once you find a new host that you want to transfer the domain name to it will automatically transfer after 10 days as long as the prior domain name holder doesn't have it locked or contests it. I know I really haven't answered your question but it might give you a little idea on what is involved. Here is a link for transferring doamin names from that domain name holder. No: 4/3 Tandogan Ankara, 06580 TR +90.3122210303 Domain Name: heimed.com Administrative, Technical, Billing Contact: DNS Administrator () Pusula Iletisim Bilisim Internet Ltd. Anit Caddesi Meydan Apt. No: 4/3 Tandogan Ankara, 06580 TR +90.3122210303 Seems like a company names "Pusula" is the one that registered the name. the original company that became bankrupt was "interaktif".
