expresso Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 hi - i just noticed for the first time this setting in my bios - i put everything to defualt and as i went thur the bios again i found this option - PCI inital start -- it was set to PCI - if you click it - you can change it to PCI or PCIE i am using a pci e slot and card - anyone know what this option is and what would happen if i changed it to PCIE ? i was worried that if i changed it to PCIE - that my monitor wouldnt show or something - then i wouldnt be able to get back in the bios to change it so i left it at PCI - - its been about 9 months maybe now this way - so i dont think its a big deal - but does anyone know what it is ? thanks
Guest caffeinejunkie Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Im pretty sure it's just what it will initially display with. Like if you had both a pci/pci-e card you could have the pci display first or something to that accord. Ive had it on both with no real difference but I always put it to pci-e anyways.
