Pigslice Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Today I attached the front audio connectors for my case to the onboard Karajan audio module, and lost sound out of the rear audio connections. I have sound on the front audio, just not the rear. Is it on or the other, or is there something I must do to enable sound on the front and back ports? My apologies if I'm vague or if I've missed something important.
red930 Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Your front panel connectors have to have "return" connections to make both sets work. When you removed the jumpers on the Karajan module to connect the front panel, you broke the circuit that sends the signal to the rear ports. Take a close look at he downloadable PDF manual for more info.
Pigslice Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Ahh thank you for the response. It seems im going back to the rear ports.
Sorrento Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 I keep the pins bridged as if the jumpers were in place, so both the front and back audio panels work... but you can only use one since the signal would drop to half when one is in use. Some cases have this jumper type connectors for front audio panels that keep both speaker pins bridged.
