poochball Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Hi All, Continuing my escapade, I purchased a new sound card, namely a Soundblater Audigy Four. I was wondering if it is possible to use Front Panel Audio still as at the moment, I can use it with the onboard sound. I know I can use both sound cards and select between the two when needing to use front panel audio. I was wondering if there is someway of acheiving this. Sorry if I shouldn't be asking this question here :-)
poochball Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 I managed to figure this one out, it is not possible. Instead I am just switching between the two sound cards!
Fast Hot Rod Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Let me see if I understand your question... Are you asking if you can use your tower's front panel audio connectors with your Audigy 4? If so, you might want to look at July 2006 edition of Maximum PC. On page 39 there is a tech-tip on how to make up a cable that allows you to connect your front panel audio connectors to an X-FI I don't know if it would be the same for an Audigy 4, but I'm thinking that it's possible. This guy did it for the Audigy 2 no problem: http://audigy2zshowto.blogspot.com/ Hope this helps. Mark
ReelFiles Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 That is one hell of a good mod, I think that's one of the best tips I've seen on here in a while. I am impressed.
