johndoe25 Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Im in the same boat. Don't care if its a DFI original or not.Sorry I can't help neither one of you on the shield. Some peeps go without the shield iin place. Most of the I/O shields are MB specific, the holes need to line up with the proper connectors to fit right. the_PC_Chef Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Looks like I'll have to fab one. Does any one have a template?
Guest Kobalt Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Doesn't DFI have a "parts" store like Abit does?
the_PC_Chef Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Couldn't find anything like that at DFI. If I had a template, I could just fab it out of some plexi or aluminum mesh.
Guest Kobalt Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Dunno if it will help, but I could scan the I/O shield for the Ultra-D. Just tell me what DPI you want it at, and I can scan it. I haven't put my machine together yet, am waiting for parts... Sample @ 600 dpi
the_PC_Chef Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Thanks Kobalt. That DPI looks excellent. Is there anyway to make sure it prints out at a 1:1 scale? Kandoo, if the first one turns out alright, I can probably send you a mesh or plexi one for the price of postage. Let me know. Guest Kobalt Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 To be honest, I don't know. I just acquired this scanner yesterday, so I don't have a clue how screen vs printer resolution works. I'll try a few tests, and see what pops out.
Guest Kobalt Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I was going to print some tests, but I ran out of ink. I plan on getting more this weekend, so until then...
