red930 Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Yes, mobile 754 processors will work in most Socket 754 motherboards, keep in mind they aren't "officially" supported though kind of like 939 Opterons many are using now. vitamincat Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 thanks. What is the difference between mobile 754 and regular 754?
Smoken Joe Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Mainly no integrated heat shield there are posts on this in the recomendations sections and in the nforce3 section. I simply got a normal E stepping x64. Of cource this was for a back up board not the main rig. 2.5 on the stock heat sink and the fan turned down. Many of the mobiles can go faster but I last I looked they did nothave the 90nm processors for them.
