Same Infineon ICs as on my old OCz PC 3200EL Rev 3 (performance series). I got mine up to 264Mhz at 2.5-3-3-7 1T. Definitely didn't like voltage(2.6-2.7 MAX no matter what the sticker says), and weak drive strength was critical to getting it stable over 250. That's decent RAM, but I was all excited for a sec thinking you might have been sitting on some BH-5 you didn't know about.

 

Tough break, but now you can go back to whatever you were doing. Sorry to be a cock.

I'd stay away from Kingston and value ram. What about these OCZ, they look pretty sweet.

I had some corsair value select PC3200 that did 240Mhz with no problem. Thats pretty good, so I would not say that all value ram is poor. I try to look and see what others (especially on this forum) are having good luck with to help me decide.

 

There is a really good thread here that talks about memory and what to look for in a quality set of sticks that might help you decide.

I have a question,Would I be better of payign 250 for 500Mhz ramm GelX or Cosair Platium or getting normal Platium 400MHZ ram whitch is 100-150 cheaper?

mushnik 512 433 hates XP,Cosair vaule 512 333 hates XP but these off off band hyudai 256 work great 0_o

 

I let mem test x86 have its way with the comp one stick at a time overnight each time

I ahve stress tested this under normal 400Mhz 338 and what you see above,useing Vdubmod to batch convert AVIs and runing Utorrent and running winamp and running 3Dmark 03 att at the same time 3dmark in a loop left it like that for acouple hours came back everting was still runnign I quite all the testing stuff and got back to doign other things but 3-6 hours later it got kinda slugish runign soem stuff so I but it into the mdoe you see above "turbo" 333 if you will,ran everythign and now 8 huors later it still runs nice and fast,now I ahve to finish up on the mbo and get it into the case.

 

BTW my 3dmark scores are 12K wth a BFG 256 OC 6800 mostly were 9-10 on the othermobos

 

I have soem questions

 

DO I need a new bios

IS thier anyhting in the bios I need to tweak or be wary of?
