It wouldn't mount like the directions said, so I mounted it like where the black clip is facing the I/O ports and the silver clip is facing the front of the case. It wouldn't mount the other way, and I was pushing damn hard. My question is first... Is it alright that I mounted it like that (my temps never get above 38C) I'm also wondering... could a little pressure on the heatsink from mounting it damage the CPU at all? and what kind of symptoms will my computer have if the CPU is damaged? Guest PaceY Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I am using the stock HSF. I am wondering though... How much pressure can the CPU take? LOL cuz I pressed down on the damn thing pretty hard!
