Transattic Posted September 13, 2003 Posted September 13, 2003 (edited) I used to have comcast (ATT) cable internet, and i remember loosing internet connection after hosting 2 or 3 cs servers... i was wondering if home internet have this "bandwidth limit" where they only allow a number of megabits to be released per person. whenever this happened, i would have to power on/off my cable modem (linksys) and/or my router (netgear). Now i have SBC DSL, and have not attempted my spiel. What info can you offer me? Edited September 13, 2003 by Transattic
Propane Posted September 13, 2003 Posted September 13, 2003 Maby your cable wasnt in all the way - at least thats what happened to me. Right now im running cable internet and havent restarted it now for a long time (a few linux distros, streaming audio, and a webserver) and it has been working fine
Transattic Posted September 13, 2003 Posted September 13, 2003 really?! thats more reassuring! im guessing that my Linksys Cable modem couldnt handle the pressure so it would freak out. So coo, i'll see how it goes.
