Raife Posted June 23, 2002 Posted June 23, 2002 All the AMD materials say not to use a thermal grease but instead "thermal phase-change material" It goes on to state "Thermal grease can be used for short term testing and validation. When used for a longer period, thermal grease has a tendency to be pumped out from the gap between the processor adn the heatsink due to the differing thermal expansion and contraction rates of the aluminium heatsink and the processor."
