Having trouble flashing Bios

Recommended Posts

I have issues with flashing my Bios.

The steps I took:

First I tried a windows 98 start-up disc and let if fully boot. Then put in a floppy that contained AWDFLASH.EXE and 704.2BTA.BIN.

I start AWDFLASH.EXE and it comes up then I type what program I want "704-2BTA.BIN". It searches and finds it and asks if I want to save. I have tried it both ways "saving or not saving". When saving I save the program under "704-2BTA.BIN"Then it asks to program. A warning comes up and says "Do not turn off the computer". A bar graph goes accross like it is saving. Then it asks you to take out the floppy and hit F1. I do. When I boot up I still get the 01-25-2005 date at the bottom left hand side of the screen. I hope its as simple as "I have no idea wtf im doing:)"

If you are going to save the bios you need to use a different name. As sharp said you overwrote the new one the minute you saved using the same filename. Since you can download that bios I don't see much reason to save it.
