  1. yeah, i was thinkin about lengthening them, but the only problem is that they are all bound in a thick plastic wiring tube, so it might be difficult to get in there. i'll probably end up doing that anyway. thanks though.
  2. the connecters for my case's front panel audio are not long enough to reach the karajan module in the back on the case. is there anything i can do or buy to get them hooked up?
  3. thanks for the responses guys (and i wasnt aware this was a common issue). i only had this board for maybe a month before it started making noise - my old one, which i had to RMA, never had this issue in the 10 months i had it.
  4. a loud grinding type of sound. its really really annoying and i don't know how to fix it.
  5. i had to RMA my mobo a few months back, and the audio drivers that came on the new CD were different from my old ones. i'm not happy with the realtek audio drivers, and im looking for a good driver to use for my 2.1 system (i play games and listen to music simultaneously most often)
  6. thanks a ton. well i formatted my hdd for nothing, but at least it wasnt the one with all my stuff on it =)
  7. A disk read error has occured Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart happs when computer tries to boot hdd.
  8. holy crap dude. you're a cabling god. i would never have thought to do some of that stuff. it must be a pain to take apart though.
  9. just got my new mobo after i had to RMA, and i tried to boot up off my old hdd and got this error. i then got my secondary drive, formatted with a windows XP install CD, installed windows, and the same thing happened. ive spent the last hour browsing around a few forums, and i haven't really found an answer (one that i can understand, anyway). all i've learned so far is that it has something to do with sp2 and its all MS's fault =/. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. ouch, thats really steep for only slightly faster timings, especially when i can get 2-3-2-5 for under $100.
  11. it doesnt look like they are selling that anymore. at least i can't find it at any of the links they provide.
  12. would either of these two be good ram? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820141011 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820141152
  13. the board should have like a 3 year warranty on it, huh? i bought mine in april and just put in an RMA today.
  14. yes, it overhangs, but consider it extra cooling. it takes a bit of work to get the ram in and out though. not too difficult, however.
