making a new rig, tell me what you think so far. hard drive GPU RAM Processor haven't decided on a mobo, cd roms(blahblah), and a sound card yet...ideas?

well europe does have its own NFL but this has the same logic as bringing david beckham to play in the Usa. They think its going to promote bigtime and get the country high into this sport. Soccer has been in the usa for over 30 years hardcore and it still is in the shadow of everysport including tennis and golf...>_<

i've kept on looking back and forth between the different creative labs sound cards....gamer, music, xtreme gamer, xtremegamer fatality, extreme super dooper ultra godmode killtacular 7.1 n00bpwner...(last one was a bit exaggerated).. i want good sound to the point where scenarios and settings in games actually make a difference in the sound...but not to the point where its like really expensive just to be able to hear peoples eyelids blink...i'm sure you understand where im going with this... suggestions? doesnt have to be creative labs, im just leaning towards them because there like the only major brand i've ever even heard of... thanks

Well, i've been gone from this site for a while but now im back. My current computer has a amd 3500, nvidia 7900gs, 1.5 gb ram, blah blah im looking to build a new pc, not a manufacturers overpriced .. im aiming for $1600 and lower i wanna go all out, 8800, dual core processor, 2 gb of ram, around 200 gb hd, 7.1 speakers, high end sound card. i was looking at quad core but from what ive heard its a waste. what are your guys thoughts on it? put in your 2 cents, maybe put your own rig and the price it cost you. im planning on ordering all the parts and putting it together with my friend psychotic_god on this site. im looking to be able to play all the new games coming out. im actually looking for a new mmorpg also, something that can keep me interested, something new. but fps are big on me too. I was also looking at those HeadPlay things...the virtual reality headsets. www.headplay.com, any body know if those are good? thanks
