Kevdog777 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Hey guys, I am about to purchase core components from Overclockers, which is: Motherboard: Gigabyte X58 G1 Sniper (MB-321-GI) RAM: Corsair Dominator GT 6GB (MY-279-CS) CPU: Intel Core i7 960 3.20Ghz (Nehalem) (CP-303-IN) Now, my question is: Will the RAM be compatible with the motherboard? The motherboard has support for DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules, and the RAM is 2000MHz. Thank you for all your help! Seriously start up a new build thread and we could put together a better performing i7 2600k set up on the 1155 socket that will both be better performing and cheaper with the upgrade path to ivy bridge and pci 3.0.
