if you want some mushkin redline i have 4 512 sticks i am selling. great for overclocking if you think you might want to do that. it will run at 2-2-2-2 1t timings. and its is just great ram if you only want a gig. runs real fast even at 200 mhz

well im lookin to go to about 250 - 270 mhz. that is the speed at which my cpu runs best. the ram at 260 mhz is badass in only one gig (2x512) but as soon as i put the 2 gigs in it slows my system way down, which i dont get because my friend has the same board and when we put my ram into his machine it kicks butt. i have already had the board rma'ed so i think its my cpu that cant handle the 4 sticks in the speed it wants to run at.

i am selling my ram because my motherboard or cpu will not handle 4 sticks at such a high speed. i will sell all four or in matched pairs. the ram is used but still very new. if you want to get ahold of me pm me or hit me up on yahoo messenger dpblue81. i paid 220 per gig best offer gets them. i am also willing to trade for 2x1 gig sticks of good ram.

ok ya i forgot to mention that, i have a pc power and cooling 510 on order. i thought that might be the problem but i wasnt sure. i originally thought that over the weekend so i borrowed my freinds pc power and cooling psu and had the same problems

yes i set it to disable for the 2t timing. when i set the cpu vid or the startup vid it wont boot. it is only at 1.25v and i believe my cpu is supposed to be at 1.35

ok i got some help from you guys earlier and now i need some more help. i was running on 1 gig of redline and i liked it alot so i bought a second gig, well now i have a problem with it. i can not set the cpuvid on anything but auto and i can not run the ram in a 1 to 1 ratio with the front side bus. does anyone have any ideas?

what version of windows are you trying to install? if you are trying nemesis or ratestrak they dont work with the raid drivers. i have only had luck on service pack one but i know some friends who have used service pack 2

ok i found out that my motherboard is bad. i took my computer to my freinds house because he has the same comp as me and put my ram in his machine,tested good. then i put my cpu in his and that also tested good. so i then put my ram back in my machine withhis cpu and it failed, only 2 options left, so then i put his psu in my comp and it failed so now i know i have a bad 200 dollar motherboard. does anyone know how hard these boards are to rma? i have heard dfi isnt the easiest company to rma items to

i was wondering if flashing a bios might help with my problem. i have a ram performance problem, very low performance and cannot overclock at all. i am running 2 gigs 4x512 mushkin xp4000 redline ram. will one of the betas possibly help?

ok after i made that post i let memtest run for about 5 hours and it had 519 errors so i gues it might have been a bad stick causing my proplems possibly. i just didnt let it run long enough.

ok well obviously when you load optimized there is a setting that your computer does not like. you need to go through all the settings and adjust them manually.just post all questions you have with any setting you dont understand.it is always best to set up manually, you will get much better performance that way

ya do not use a 20 - 24 pin adapter. i got lucky when i did it building my freinds new comp, all that happened was it fried my freinds newer antec 550 watt psu. i checked the pinout on the connector and it was right so there is just something the dfi boards do not like something about the adapter. just a word of caution.

ok thank you guys very much i have only been able to play with it a bit but here is how its running so far 2-2-2-2 CL2 210mhz those seem to be the magic numbers so far. thanks for all of the explanations

the thing is i dont know what to try. with the 2 sticks in my buddy help me set it up running at 2-2-2-6 and it was kick butt but now it sucks. i just wish i knew what to do, this type of overclocking is a bit over my head.
