  1. I have an Audigy LS, and have the same problem, as do a few others i play BF2 with, its an issue with the game...
  2. Question about my stock CPU fan, it never seems to go above 2700rpm, i believe the stock fan is capable up to higher RPM's (i think closer to 3200 or more, cant remember), but my question is, why doesnt the fan RPM raise above 2700 when the temps may go up? Idle they're around 21-2200 RPM, but why not higher when the CPU's hotter, is it related to being overclocked?
  3. There isnt AGP, PCI-E Voltage i think can be adjusted with that board.
  4. If you do go with the VF700, it is a good GPU cooler, my temps went down about 10-15C under a load, and i was able to run my core speeds way up (300mhz stock to 575mhz after the cooler) but im using a 6600, which its based on a smaller core.
  5. Just for craps and giggles, i put my stock cooler back on with AS5, and it cools better than the TT Silent 775 ive got. Its far quieter (the TT cooler's fan bracket is broke, might have contributed to it), but the intel Cooler's fan is quieter than the other case fans, and is easily droned out. At first i thought the intel cooler was crap with AS5, and was gonna swap back then i noticed that one of the corners wasnt all the way fastened, so i went to see how it would do, and sure enough, far better in cooling.. When at 3.75, it doesnt get much above 66 or so, but i could see throttling with Throttle watch, so i backed her down to 3.6.
  6. Who's dumb enough to buy something from Tigerdirect anyway? their prices are higher than retail stores, and we know those are higher than most e-tailers even with shipping. Most of the 7800GTX's ive seen were about $600, which isnt too bad IMO, but im not one to buy extreme high end cards either, im waiting for the 7600 typed series where the value is down, but performance is closer to the 6800 typed cards from the old generation.
  7. Actually, HP gains are probably less than 5hp, getting air out of the motor is far more involved than a fart can (no offense), the Exhaust manifold (or headers) are one of the most important parts, followed by the catback exhaust portion, air will slow once it hits the cat, an older car will slow it further, due to age/mileage. All a muffler will do is quieten down exhaust noise, or in this case, make it louder. Theres several designs on mufflers, just google it. To answer your question on weither it will fit is based on your current exhaust system's tubing, most non-forced induction engines, exhaust piping ranges from 2-2.25in or so, while forced induction is from around 2.25 to 3in or more depending on the vehicle.
  8. I was refering to Windows Media Player, now Winamp...
  9. Hmm, when why did I get 4.1 with the SB PCI 512? Was that a feature of Creative or Windows or what?
  10. Ive got an Audigy LS, with Logitech Z-5300e speakers, and anytime i play music or video in WMP 10 or RP10, its only 2.1, but games are the full 5.1, as is PowerDVD. Question is, if my old Soundblaster PCI 512 could do 4.1, why cant my Audigy do 5.1?
  11. ive read to make initial value 1.5 times your ram, then the max twice or 3 times that, mine maxes out at 4gb, and initial is 1.5 Gb, i noticed my available ram go up quite a bit.
  12. I would rather get an A64 than the Sempron if you can afford it, they are far faster than any sempron, and o/c better from what ive read.
  13. Ive had a couple, but more recently on my machine, one of the memory stick's clips wasnt all the way on, ive had a Floppy cable come off while the computer was on, had the Power cable for the floppy drive come off while on, ive unplugged the CPU fan to see how how it would get.. As for the Page FAULT errors, i get those actually, im wondering how a SATA cable could go bad in nmy place (cant figure out the cause on my end).
  14. IMO, the 630 is a far far better deal, Dual Channel yes, you'd need a new motherboard of course, the 630 has more cache than the Sempron, and it far faster, and the Sempron doesnt even run at 3100mhz, its far less that 2.x ghz if you're lucky. its like comparing a Celeron to a P4.
  15. yes because your system's memory is running at DDR 333 vs DDR 400, it'll be slower sorta overall, unless you use the quciker memory, also, if your board supports Dual Channel, having 2 then 1 wouldnt allow that to work.
