Hey ya'll..

I just installed my 933 P3 on to my new Motherboard..

I got it to turn on..

but it like starts up and then about 10 seconds in to the boot up it freezes and then shuts it self down.. it doesnt restart it just shuts down..

Any Idea's why?

I dont think its a heat problem..

But any help would be veery nice.. because I am out my computer for a while and I will be stuck on  233mhz for a while untill I get it fixed..

Thanks a ton..

Ok..

I got some of the problem fixed.. I was running A Pelt. on my Processer..

I was thinking the PSU would give it enough power..

But no...

So I took it off..

Now I got a Bigger problem..

It seems my Alpha PEP66 isent cooling my 933 well..

I got an error that something was wrong with the power and my hardware.. it said to go in to the bios and check the power..

My Proc. is running at 219 Ferinheit..

This.. is verry weird.. I think the guage.. is wrong..

I dont know though.. I used Artic Silver 3 in between the proc and heatsink..

I hit f1 to continue to boot into windows.. and I got a blue screen that said.. Inacceptable device or something like that..

SO I dont know what the heck is going on..

Anyone got any sort of Idea to hook me up with?

  • 2 weeks later...

the only thing i can think of is take it back to the way it was before... check everything over and over and over and start from the beggining of your peltier experiment again, get things back to normal before creating more problems or youll create more and more and more, trust me i have learned to have pacience

see if there is a bios upgrade, any updated chipset drivers for the motherboard. also if you have hardware monitor that came with your board try installing that to see if you get the same readings.
